I Was Nervous

When I accepted a job at Minute Man Press I was very happy. Gary my husband said I had a huge grin on my face when I got off the phone with Ralph, who was my new boss. I had not worked for over a year, so I was very anxious and restless the weekend before my first day. I could not sleep very well because I was having visions of being late my first day. So my first day at my new job comes and I am sweating down my back and forehead. When I arrived there Monday morning I got out of my car slowly not knowing what to expect. The first couple hours went well until I went on my lunch break. After lunch I had to go on my first delivery run with my new boss. When I packed the van with boxes I packed it wrong because I started to not feel well. On the way to our destination the boxes flew all over the back of the van. By the time we got to the bank to deliver their goods I was sweating like a professional basketball player. I was wondering what could be wrong with me. That’s when I knew I was going to vomit, but I tried to keep myself busy unloading boxes. That worked for a little while, but when we where a block away from the shop I vomited down the front of myself and all over the floor of Ralphs van. I had to go home early on my first day. All the guys at the shop thought I would not come back the next day, but I did come back. I was not going to let a little bought of anxiety, nervousness, and food poisoning get me down. The next morning I showed up with a grin on my face and a vomit bag on my desk, courtesy of Antonio, my co-worker.
